Final Cut Pro projects are rarely a flat list of clips. ArchiveCut follows the timeline structure before deciding what media belongs in the archive.

Nested timelines

Follows connected clips, synchronized clips, nested storylines, and compound clips.

Multicam clips

Preserves multicam clips and archives active angles when the XML includes the angle data.

Retiming and audio

Accounts for retime maps and audio source ranges when calculating the media to keep.

Reliable fallbacks

Copies the full source file when trimming would be the wrong tradeoff for preserving the edit.

After the run

Know what changed before you store it away.

The result screen shows the archive size, space saved, trimmed files, full-source copies, warnings, and the media included in the archive.

That gives you a practical checklist before sending the project to a backup drive, NAS, or cold storage.
